Gaza: The UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, has raised serious concerns about severe medicine shortages affecting the wounded in Gaza.
According to Dr. Muhammad, the head of an UNRWA medical point in Gaza, patients are at grave risk because they have to make do with very limited supplies of medicine, painkillers, and other essential medical items.
This statement was shared on X by the UNRWA representative, who highlighted the dangerous impact on the lives of those injured. An example given was that of a two-year-old girl named Loretta, who suffered burns when scalding liquid spilled on her during the recent shelling.
These shortages come at a time when medical facilities are under enormous strain due to ongoing violence, further endangering the lives of civilians in an already dire humanitarian situation.
